Nuisance smokers - step #9

Create a community action group

If a neighbour’s smoke is causing you problems it may also be affecting other neighbours. Ask your neighbours candidly if they have had any problems with the same smoker. Other neighbours may be concerned about the level of cigarette smoke in a living area or child’s bedroom. If you find one neighbour that is concerned, find another; perhaps working together can produce a solution. Why not agree to visit the smoker together and ask if they can do anything to reduce the impact of their smoke?

Try networking online too. Using Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus, let people know that you agree with our web site and post a link there. Make concern for passive smoke a daily talking point like the weather, sport or TV. Create your own community action group and cooperatively approach councils and MPs and raise awareness about the serious hazard of passive smoke and how it really does harm every person who comes in contact with it.
